Moving Forward Act DIVISION A--FEDERAL SURFACE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAMS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2021 This division extends FY2020 enacted levels through FY2021 for federal-aid highway, transit, and safety programs. It also provides additional contract authority in FY2021 for (1) the Federal Highway Administration, (2) the Federal Transit Administration, (3) National Highway Traffic Safety Administration highway safety programs, and (4) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration motor carrier safety programs. Among other provisions, the division includes additional routes within the Central Texas Corridor, a high priority corridor on the National Highway System; includes the Central Louisiana Corridor and the Central Mississippi Corridor as high priority corridors in such system; and directs the Department of Transportation (DOT) to report on the unique challenges that residents in areas of concentrated poverty face when riding public transportation.
Transportation and Public Works Topic assigned by the Congressional Research Service. CRS gives each bill one topic, based on the bill as introduced. This one carries 196 subject terms, so it spans well beyond that single label.
